Photographer in Helston, Falmouth, Penzance, Truro & Cornwall

Born in Liverpool and growing up in the 60's and 70's just a mile from the sea, I witnessed the daily hustle and bustle of daily life in Liverpool. While watching the ships come and go, the thoughts of seeing the world became my dream, so at 16 I left Merseyside and joined the Royal Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic to fulfil my dream.

I soon started to document my travels with a camera and very soon I was hooked on photography, so in 1980 I underwent training and became a professional photographer, subsequently becoming an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography.

Over the next 25 years I travelled the world behind the lens recording historic events and providing stunning imagery which has been syndicated around the globe. Besides working in the Naval enviroment, I was also seconded to many outside agencies: The Army in the Falklands, the UN in Vitez, Central Bosnia, and three years active service with 42 Commando Royal Marines . I also worked at NATO's principal photographer for several years, working exclusively and extensively for 13 NATO nations.

From the early 80's I became captivated by the beauty and tranquility of Cormwall and was fortunate to spend many years working in Cormwall, and then living in Cormwall. When I left the Royal Navy in 2005 it was only natural to stay in Cornwall, so I established myself as a self-employed freelance photographer, basing myself in Helston.

I now work with many Cornish and National companies, often through Public Relations Agencies, who have come to appreciate my passion, enthusiasm, wide and varied experience, deep technical knowledge and my great value in visually representing these businesses.
